Bro i feel you. The only thing keeping me from posting is the absurd about of gnats and fruitflyes in my house, i cant use the computer for 5 seconds before a gang of 10 gnats jump me. I cant fet rid of them im going to crack😭

oh god...
good luck surviving there, i guess

@DweamCaster I think what you need is called an "Electric Fly Swatter".

Don't get one from China - it 'might' not have safe wiring and might scorch/catch fire if you leave the batteries in. If there are no notes on the product or the individual packaging stating the country where the device it was produced, it is "usually" from China. (Sometimes they just write the country where the product was repackaged - be mindful of that.)

@casualbreather Da fuq is dis crinj... T_T ...U treid i gess XD

@yatsufusa I swear I laughed so hard when you said don't get one from china

@NEON-SKIES My apologies if that sounded a bit crass, but I looked into getting one before and asked a friend living in the region. They had actually gotten such a device in a local supermarket and the 'scorching' happened with their device. Knowing Chinese safety standards for cheap electronics intended for export, I asked about the country of origin and it turned out the way I described above. (No company markings of any kind, only a 're-packager' was listed. "Choice" translation on the packaging.)

They were able to return the device at said supermarket no questions asked, but the product was no longer on offer. My "guess" would be that they were not the only person who experienced that 'defect'...

@Yatsufusa I understand, it was just a funny moment tbh XDDDD

@NEON-SKIES It's a bit of a relief that you thought it was funny, but for me it was more of a "Regrets were had!"-moment.

I thought I "should" include the story but did not feel that providing a wall of text with a boring story would be necessary.

I have _nothing_ against the citizens of China!
I just have had multiple experiences with "cheap" Chinese electronics that make me weary. Another friend of mine drives a Chinese produced hybrid car, btw. The last time we last talked they were still very pleased with it...

Haha, no offense taken. I am chinese...JUST KIDDING! But yeah, it wasn't too offensive, just a really funny moment. You probably have better morals than me though XD

@Yatsufusa I think proper businesses arrange for the stuff they import from China to be made somewhat properly, buying stuff from China online though...

what is going on in the comment section lmao

@Placeholder456 All I wanted to do was to help @DweamCaster with his insect problem... Somehow, this got 'cartoonishly' out of hand...
